"Don't Name It and Claim It"

Many of us have been taught about claiming healing, deliverance and blessing in our lives. But the only thing we can claim is what comes out of our mouths. We live and die with our mouths. Complaining kills God's blessing in our lives. Praising God in all situations (good or bad) brings abundant life and God's Presence.

There is no such word as Claim in the entire Bible according to the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance which contains every word in the Bible. Because the entire Bible is about God bestowing His grace on the behalf of mankind of God's undeserving, unmerited favor and grace of God blessing and using men and women in the Old and New Testament. Not because they deserved it and could claim God's blessing in their lives because they were imperfect human beings whom God chose to bless and use in spite of their imperfections and sins. God chooses whom He will bestow His Common and Special Grace upon. Because that is what He Almighty God wants to do. Not because we deserve or can claim God's grace and favor in our lives.

The Webster dictionary defines claim as: (1) to ask for as one's own. (2) To take as the rightful owner. (3) A demand for some thing due. (4) A right to something. Since God is the only owner of anything or anyone; by right of creation. How can mankind, (God's creation) claim or demand anything from God (His creation as the rightful owner? God owes us nothing. Everything and everyone, including salvation, is God's gift of grace to us. Jesus Christ, God's Son didn't even claim, demand or hold on to His rights as the Son of God. He humbled Himself and He died an humiliating, painful death on the cross for our sins.

James said in James 5:13-16, "Is anyone among you suffering? He should keep on praying about it. And keep on being thankful and continue to sing praises to the Lord. Is anyone sick? He should call for the elders of the church and they should pray over him and pour a little oil upon him, calling on the Lord to heal him. And their prayer, if offered in faith, will heal him, for the Lord will make him well; and if his sickness was caused by some sin, the Lord will forgive him. Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.

God answers humble, sincere, trusting, persistent, thankful, praise-filled prayers. God does not answer presumptuous (over bold) claims demanding that God answers our prayers in the way we see it, and by our time table.

We use every resource we have of giving out Daily Breads, witnessing, counseling, and now using our web-site to help as many people as possible to become effective, over-coming Christians in their personal lives as well as in their spiritual lives.
